Chris Davis is a Philadelphia-based playwright and actor from Oakland, CA.
Recent projects include Anna K, an adaptation of the famous Tolstoy novel Anna Karenina (“...an hour of many delights.” – Howie Shapiro, NewsWorks); solo show Drunk Lion, which recently had a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014 (“Highly-entertaining” ★★★★★ – TV Bomb); Violence of the Lambs; and Bortle 8 (“...brilliant.” – Phindie.com). Other projects include Holly’s Dead Soldiers (Philadelphia FringeArts 2013), The Post-Show (Berserker Residents), and Wild (Groundswell Players). Chris received training from the National Theatre Institute. He holds a BA from Albright College.
Chris is a Playwright in Residence at Plays & Players Theater, and a coordinator of the Philadelphia SoLow Festival, a DIY theater festival dedicated to new, experimental, solo performance.
